UKG Pro Recruiting applications sent for you, from the new account to the final Submit

UKG asks a new candidate to make an account before the form opens. A resume can then fill part of the form, and the employer chooses which extra questions appear. Here is what to expect.

UKG Pro Recruiting calls each job an opportunity, and candidates start from its Apply Now button. Job boards open on an ultipro.com or ukg.net address tied to the employer.

What actually happens

  1. You land on the posting

Apply Now sits beside the job title, and many postings live on recruiting.ultipro.com. Some employers also offer Apply With LinkedIn or a short Quick Apply form.

  2. Account first

A new candidate gives an email and password, then a name. Some employers ask for consent before the account is made.

  3. Resume upload

Upload Resume attaches the file. With parsing on, it also fills part of the form and asks you to check the result.

  4. The employer’s form

Contact details, work experience, education, skills and links come first. UKG’s standard questions and the employer’s screening questions follow.

  5. Filled from your profile

We make the account, tailor the resume and fill each section from your profile, year boxes included.

  6. Submit and confirmation

We press Submit once the form is complete, then keep the page UKG shows next with the application.

What trips people up

  • Sign in happens on a separate page. It reads "Welcome, come on in!" and then returns you to the employer’s board.

  • A new account crosses one more page before the form. It opens with "Almost there!", and the employer decides whether the phone box is required, optional or hidden.

  • Each year in your work and education history has its own box. UKG can refuse to move on with "The start year is required."

  • Equal opportunity, veteran and disability questions appear only when the employer has switched them on.

How you know it landed

After the last press, UKG opens a page whose address holds "ApplicationSubmitted" and an application id. The wording on it varies. We have seen "Thank you! Your application was submitted." and a plain "Success!". We keep that page with the application.

Questions people actually ask

Usually yes. UKG’s own help guide describes a Register page, and the candidate signs in before finishing the application. On GetMattered we make that account and sign in for you.

It can. If the employer has document parsing switched on, the resume you upload fills part of the application. UKG then asks you to check that everything is correct, so we keep what read correctly and fix the rest.

UKG puts three standard questions on every opportunity: how you heard about it, whether a current employee referred you, and when you can start. Employers can add screening questions too, and an answer to one of those can disqualify a candidate.

UKG warns on the last page that you cannot edit what you entered once you leave it. Treat the Submit press as final.
