Releases

  1. Version 1.9.0

    Release notes on GitHub
    • 23 tools, up from 17. New: getmattered_get_inbox, getmattered_reply_to_email, getmattered_update_auto_apply, getmattered_update_application_profile, getmattered_manage_follow_ups and getmattered_manage_saved_searches.
    • Read the emails employers send about your applications and answer them from chat. A reply goes out only after you approve its exact text.
    • Find applications that have gone quiet and send a follow-up from your connected Gmail or Outlook once you approve it.
    • Turn Auto Apply on or off from chat, and choose whether each application goes out on its own or waits for your review.
    • Save the answers employer forms ask for. The EEO questions are optional, and each one accepts prefer not to say.
    • Save your job preferences as named searches, with email alerts for new matches.
    • Document tools take a resume pasted in chat or attached in ChatGPT. Without one, they use the resume on file.
    • Fixed: application details now show the tailored resume, cover letter and screening answers the application used.
    • getmattered_get_account shows whether Gmail, Outlook and Indeed are connected.
    • Every result ends with one suggested next step.
  2. Version 1.8.5

    Release notes on GitHub
    • The plugin bundle for Claude, Cursor, Codex and Gemini CLI now ships ten skills. New: account setup, cover letters, interview practice, resume translation and editable resume drafts.
    • The getmattered-mcp command line tool on npm connects scripts and chat bots to the hosted server. The old aiapplyd-mcp package still installs.
    • npm and the official MCP Registry list version 1.8.5.
  3. Version 1.8.0

    Release notes on GitHub
    • 17 tools, up from 10. New: getmattered_get_matches, getmattered_apply, getmattered_get_applications, getmattered_review_application, getmattered_get_account, getmattered_set_resume and getmattered_triage_matches.
    • getmattered_search_jobs and getmattered_auto_apply keep working as deprecated aliases of getmattered_get_matches and getmattered_apply.
    • Every tool now has a title, all four annotation hints and an output schema.
    • New prompt: apply_to_my_matches.
    • OAuth 2.1 now also advertises Client ID Metadata Documents and the RFC 9207 iss parameter.
    • The plugin for Claude Code, Codex, ChatGPT and Cursor ships five skills: find matching jobs, apply to a job, review and send, tailor for a job, and track applications.
  4. Version 1.6.0

    Release notes on GitHub
    • Listed in the official MCP Registry as com.getmattered/getmattered.
    • The Smithery listing moved to aiapplyd/aiapplyd.
    • Covers 15 hiring systems, including Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, iCIMS and SmartRecruiters.
  5. Version 1.5.0

    • The registry description now fits the registry's 100-character limit, so the listing could publish again.
    • Public docs corrected from twelve supported hiring systems to fifteen, adding BambooHR, JazzHR and softgarden.
    • Added a Smithery manifest and an mcp.json file so directory scanners can find the server. No tool changes.
  6. Version 1.4.0

    • MCP Registry listing update: the listing now shows the server icons. No tool changes.
  7. Version 1.3.0

    Release notes on GitHub
    • Installable: a stdio bridge and a Dockerfile, so clients that can only launch a command still reach every tool.
    • Standard MIT license text, so GitHub and directories read the license correctly.
    • Full docs: setup for Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT and VS Code, the complete tool table, and the OAuth 2.1 details.
  8. Version 1.2.0

    • The registry listing no longer links to a private repository that visitors could not open.
  9. Version 1.1.0

    • Sign-in works end to end. The Google OAuth callback was missing in 1.0.0, so no one could connect.
    • Fixed eight request mismatches with the API, across job search, cover letters, interview prep, job analysis, resume translation and auto-apply.
    • Sign in with an email link as well as Google, and connect in one click if you are already signed in on getmattered.com.
    • Access tokens last 24 hours, and refresh stays safe when a client refreshes twice at once.
  10. Version 1.0.0

    • First listing in the official MCP Registry, with the OAuth 2.1 challenge and protected resource metadata.
    • Known issue: sign-in failed in this version. Fixed in 1.1.0.

Version 1.7.0 was a same-day step on 25 September 2026 with no release of its own. Everything it added shipped in 1.8.0.

Deprecation policy

How we retire a tool, an argument or a field without breaking the agents that depend on it.

  • We give at least 90 days of notice before we remove a tool, a tool argument or an output field.
  • We announce every deprecation on this page and in the text your agent reads: the server instructions it gets when it connects, or the tool or argument description.
  • A deprecated name keeps working until its removal date and behaves exactly like its replacement.
  • New tools, new optional arguments and new output fields can ship at any time. They never break an existing call.
  • The REST API carries its major version in the path (/api/v1). Removing or renaming an endpoint or field in v1 gets the same 90-day notice, announced here.

    aiapplyd_apply
